You are so right ... that's just not the venue that can give her what she needs. And if she's waiting for the government to give her permission and a reimbursement check to learn, she might be waiting quite awhile. :)

But in the mean time, maybe point her to the Internet Marketing for Smart People course -- that will give her the fundamentals, and of course it's free. :)

Thanks Mikel!

Content marketing and e-learning (whether as a product or as a marketing strategy) are, IMO, *the* thing to bring to local business. In all kinds of topics, there are so many opportunities out there with local businesses. And if you've already got that relationship, it's a terrific place to be.

What do you think is holding you back? Is it a case of the cobbler's children always needing new shoes -- you shortchange your own projects for your client work? (Very, very common.)

Or do you think you're holding back because you're afraid of what might happen? (Also very common.)

Or are you having trouble figuring out how to develop your own angle?

Thanks Jeremy! I agree that the way of thinking is such a big part. After that, the skills tend to flow quite a bit more easily. That's my experience, anyway.

It's extremely difficult if you never put anything out there. :) Remember that we're not talking about a "micro site" that has no relationship with the audience. That's actually quite hard to do, although some people are fantastic at it. Level 2 is more about building a relationship with an audience around a particular topic, then trying out some different offers and seeing what works best.

We don't do the "instant business, just add water" thing. :) For one thing, the quick fix systems tend not to work very well, in my experience.
